Medley, a $560 million mixed-use district developed by Toro Development Company, opened to the public October 29, 2026, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Johns Creek. The 43-acre project combines shops, restaurants, offices and a central public plaza, with additional residential and hospitality development planned.
What opened at Medley
The first phase includes dining, retail and entertainment destinations. The official tenant list includes Trader Joe’s, Shake Shack, Sephora, Northern China Eatery, Summit Coffee and STIR, among other businesses. Not all announced tenants necessarily opened on ribbon-cutting day; visitors should check individual business hours and opening dates before traveling.
An office campus gets a second life
The project occupies a former State Farm office campus, which had been underused since the company departed. Developers redesigned the site to connect workplaces, storefronts, housing and pedestrian areas. According to local reporting, the approximately 112,000-square-foot office component opened fully leased; tenants include Boehringer Ingelheim’s U.S. animal-health headquarters, healthcare software company Brightree and First American Bank & Trust.
A broader plan is still underway
The development's centerpiece is a roughly 25,000-square-foot plaza for public gatherings and community programming. Future phases include hundreds of homes and a planned 150-room hotel. Those future components should not be confused with what was completed at the initial opening.
