Braves Fall 4–1 to Dodgers as Atlanta’s 2026 Postseason Ends
A seventh-inning Dodgers rally ended Atlanta’s October run at Truist Park, leaving the Braves to turn toward 2027.

ATLANTA, Ga. The Atlanta Braves’ season ended Wednesday with a 4–1 defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the National League Division Series at Truist Park. Los Angeles won the best-of-five matchup three games to one and advanced to the National League Championship Series.
Atlanta scored first, but could not add on
Michael Harris II helped Atlanta manufacture an early run, and starter Tyler Mahle kept the Braves in the game. But the home team struggled to cash in on further opportunities against the Dodgers’ pitching staff.
Los Angeles broke through in the seventh. Andy Pages delivered a two-run single that gave the Dodgers the lead, and Max Muncy added a solo home run in the ninth inning. The final was 4–1.
What the series showed
The Braves reached the Division Series after eliminating Philadelphia in the Wild Card round. That made the finish disappointing, especially in front of their home crowd. Against Los Angeles, however, Atlanta’s offense could not consistently put together the hits needed to support its pitching.
The Dodgers move forward in the postseason. The Braves now face an offseason of roster planning and decisions about how to turn another playoff appearance into a longer October run.
The Georgia inside the story
Truist Park was the setting for the season’s final chapter, but the story extends beyond one score. Braves baseball remains one of Georgia’s shared sporting traditions, linking fans throughout the state. The conversation now shifts from the loss itself to what Atlanta must improve for 2027.
